Depart on a scenic journey to Cameron Highlands, a ride of around five hours. Take a journey down to Ipoh and Kek Lok Tong cave temples. A cave temple situated on 12 acres of land was used as early as the 1920’s as a place of worship. Little diversion into the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar to see the Ubudiah Mosque and get a glimpse of the Malay village and the Sultan of Perak State Palace. Next en route and take a boat to a hidden gem ‘Orang Utan’ island to learn about one of the biggest apes on earth.
Have a quick lunch (own expenses) and continue the journey to Penang. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day.
Proposed Hotel/Accommodation in Georgetown, Penang
After breakfast at the hotel, head out on a tour of the UNESCO Heritage city of Georgetown’s main attractions. Stop at the Thai Temple of the Reclining Buddha and at the Burmese Temple. Then visit Khoo Kongsi, a beautiful Chinese Clan House. The tour culminates with a visit to Kek Lok Si Temple.
