  Upon arriving at the Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre, your guide will assist you with the registration process to begin your visit. Your experience starts with a short documentary screening that outlines the sanctuary’s mission and highlights real-life elephant rescue and translocation efforts across Malaysia. This powerful introduction sets the tone for the meaningful encounters ahead. Lunch at the center cafe/stall.
  Your nature guide, who will walk you through the sanctuary’s conservation program. Learn about the elephants currently under care, their rescue stories, and the dedicated efforts being made to rehabilitate and protect them. The guide will also explain the sanctuary’s ethical, no-riding, no-performance approach to wildlife tourism.
  
• Educational Exposure with the Nature Guide

Depending on the day, guests may even participate in supervised, hands-on activities such as feeding or cleaning the young elephants, with the rare chance to bottle-feed a baby elephant. Originally brought from Myanmar, these experienced elephants play a critical role in helping the sanctuary team safely capture and relocate wild elephants from human-wildlife conflict zones to protected forest reserves. During your visit, you’ll observe a conservation-focused demonstration that highlights their training in transport, handling, and even basic medical procedures. Far from a performance, this session offer’s a rare and respectful look into the collaboration between humans and elephants in Malaysia’s ongoing rescue and translocation efforts.
  
• Bathing with the baby elephants (Optional)
  One of the most memorable highlights of the Malaysia Elephant Sanctuary Tour is the opportunity to join a baby elephant bathing session in the shallow river at Kuala Gandah. Under the supervision of experienced guides, guests can gently wash, scrub, and interact with the sanctuary’s playful young elephants in a safe, controlled environment.
