Educational Experience in
Elephant Conservation Center

Overview

Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, a haven for elephants located in Malaysia! As a conservation and rehabilitation center established in 1989 by the Malaysian Department of Wildlife and National Parks, the sanctuary aims to protect and preserve the elephant population, which has been threatened by development and human-elephant conflict.

An educational experience—not a performance. There are no elephant rides, tricks, or shows. Instead, the focus is on awareness, respect, and ethical interaction. A perfect day trip for travelers who value responsible tourism and wish to support real wildlife protection in action.

Highlights

  • Watch documentaries on elephant translocation and attend talks by staff about conservation efforts.
  • Learn the stories of rescued elephants, some with prosthetic limbs, and see the care they receive.
