Historic Malacca Day Tour

With a very long chronological history timeline, Malacca was once a vital trading post in South East Asia that connects the East & West. The Sultanate’s era in Malacca reached its glorious period during the 15th century with as many as 2000 ships docked here at any one time with merchants trading spices that mostly came from the Malay Archipelago, textiles & ceramic products from China & a lot more. Malacca then underwent many bloody battles against the local region and as well the colonial rivals. In 2008, UNESCO inscribed Melaka (Malacca) & Georgetown, Penang as Historic Cities of the Straits of Malacca.

Blended with English & Portuguese glazed tiles, symmetrical arches Corinthian columns in the main prayer hall with an ablution pool just next to the mosque. An excellent influence of architecture & design reflects the people embracing the multi-cultures hence nurturing the history & traditions that make what Malaysia is now.

Also known as the Temple of Green Cloud, this Chinese temple practices three Doctrinal Systems- Buddhism, Confucianism & Taoism. Early constructed in 1645 and additional structures were added up in 1673, the temple survived the ravages of time. The Dutch conquest of Malacca from the Portuguese in 1641 saw the proscription of Roman Catholicism and the conversion of the existing church to Dutch Reform use. In 1741, in commemoration of the centenary of the capture of Malacca, the Dutch decided to build a new church. After 12 years of construction, Christ Church was completed in 1753.
